It is time to wake up. Especially right here in Nebraska.
We are living in a moment where our very existence in this country is being legislated against, targeted, and criminalized.
This is not a drill, and this is not a time for apathy. We cannot afford to sit this one out. 2026 is the most critical turning point of our lifetimes.
If we don't vote, we are handing them the absolute power to strip our rights, tear apart our communities, and write the laws that will be used against us.
Our vote is literally our only defense.
It is time to stop the brainwashing propaganda we have been fed our whole lives.
Do not listen to the white people trying to convince you that your vote doesn't matter.
They want you apathetic. They tell you the system is broken and voting is pointless, and then they turn around and vote for politicians who pass laws to get us targeted, arrested, and have our rights revoked.
They want you to stay home so they can speak for you. Prove them wrong. Show up.

The National Threat: Agenda 47 and the White Nationalist Playbook
Let’s call this exactly what it is: a white nationalist takeover.
The current administration is terrified of our numbers, our culture, and our voting power. They want to keep this country white and conservative, and they are using the Oval Office to aggressively engineer the demographics of the United States.
They rely on our labor to keep this country running, but they despise our presence.
Trump has literally stood at rallies and said immigrants are "poisoning the blood of our country." That is a direct quote.
He is talking about us. And since he took office, it is no longer just campaign rhetoric—it is official, active policy.
His "Agenda 47" is executing the "largest domestic deportation operation in American history."
They are weaponizing ICE and drastically expanding the 287(g) program—a policy that literally deputizes your local county sheriffs and city cops to act as federal immigration agents.
They are turning routine traffic stops for a broken taillight into a direct pipeline to deportation.
They are moving to use the National Guard to conduct sweeps in our workplaces and our neighborhoods.
It gets worse. The administration's plan includes signing an executive order to end birthright citizenship.
They want to rewrite the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution so that children born on U.S. soil to undocumented parents are no longer recognized as citizens.
They are actively trying to strip away the constitutional rights of our future generations, ensuring our kids are born stateless, unprotected, and permanently locked out of the American system.
The Local Threat: The Nebraska GOP is Building the Machine
This sickness isn’t just in Washington; it is deeply rooted right here in our own backyard.
The Nebraska GOP is fully on board with this extreme conservative agenda. Governor Jim Pillen and District 3 Representative Adrian Smith are absolute rubber stamps for this idiocy.
Look at their actions over the last year. They sold out working-class Nebraskans to appease a white nationalist platform.
You want proof? Look at what they did in McCook. In late 2025, the state proudly announced plans to convert the McCook Work Ethic Camp into a massive new ICE detention center.
Instead of investing in our communities, Governor Pillen and Congressman Smith fully backed turning a local facility into a staging camp to lock up 300 immigrants, helping the federal government triple its ICE capacity right here in Nebraska.
Adrian Smith literally went on record praising the facility as a "solution" and commending the Governor for cooperating with the federal deportation machine. They are building the cages in our own state.
Right now, Nebraska Republicans are also actively fighting to rig our state's electoral votes into a "winner-take-all" system.
For decades, Nebraska has split its electoral votes to accurately represent the voters, but the GOP wants to erase that system just to hand Trump more unchecked power.
At the same time, they are trying to pass constitutional amendments to completely repeal property, income, and inheritance taxes. It sounds like a great tax break on the surface, but it is a calculated trap.
Eliminating those taxes is designed to completely defund our public schools, gut our infrastructure, and slash essential public services, shifting the massive financial burden onto the working-class families who can afford it the least.
The Solution: Weaponizing the 2026 Ballot
Our rights and our lives are literally on the ballot this year. We have to vote out the Republican incumbents like Adrian Smith and Jim Pillen, and support the Democratic challengers who will actually fight for our labor, our schools, and our civil rights.
When you get your ballot, this is exactly what you need to look for.
Here is the shit we need to vote FOR:
Vote YES on the Minimum Base Salary for Teachers: This initiative establishes a $50,000 minimum base salary for certified public school teachers. Our communities rely heavily on the public school system to give our kids a fighting chance. If we don't pay the educators, the system collapses.
Vote YES on Marijuana Legalization: This constitutionally protects recreational marijuana use for adults 21 and older.
This is a crucial step in pushing back against a broken criminal justice system that has disproportionately targeted, arrested, and incarcerated brown men and women for decades.
Vote YES on Requiring a Four-Fifths Legislative Vote: When voters pass progressive laws, the Republican-led state legislature often tries to step in and overturn them. This measure requires an 80% supermajority in the legislature to mess with the ballot initiatives we pass. It protects our voice.
